Welll...the shelties killed a rabbit,but Earnhardt is not sharing~

Ernie we know you're trying to look all innocent but it's out everyone knows.
Your Mom already let the cat out of the box! or should we say Bunny!:uhoh:

Tell Earnhardt if he wants a free meal I have a whole yard full of random assorted wildlife he can sample. :biggrin2:

This thread became much more amusing to me when I realized you had put it under the "raw" section.

Well actually did'nt even think about it.And I know he's not a sheltie, but I was grasping for guidance as to what to expect after he ate such a nasty breakfast....ooops!

But every one was awesome with thier thoughts, and yes even some ribbing poor Earnhardt got.

He is none for worse,he handled the whole rabbit just fine.Sent off for worming meds today,so he will get himself a big dose as soon as it arrives.

Off topic...went to a flea market today, and we came across a seller that had a HUGE plastic bin of dog toys.Well the whole shabang was only 3.00.did not know what was really in it,till we got home.

And ya know what we found.................BUNNIES!

And of course Earnhardt has found a favorite. There must have been over 50 dog toys in that bin. They are all being washed tonite.

what a jackpot on dog toys- and a bunny too

Earnie - real smart of you to get a hold of that lady beforehand and let her know your mom was coming to the sale. She sure listened when you asked her to load up a plastic bin with all sorts of toys, especially lots of bunnies, for your mom to buy at such a good price.

Gee, I'm surprised, I always thought shelties were gentle with small animals, and given they have been brought up around a cat it is strange. When mine meet a rabbit or other small wildlife they do a play bow (and then chase it as soon as it moves). Gosh Deska even tried to sniff the butt of a house mice and that echidna that was in the yard Deska thought was his best mate!

As for health wise, well Deska has munched on many a dead rabbit or roo he has found laying in a field and never a problem. Just as long as Ernie didnt try to wolf it down and actually munched the bones.

Oh no my precious little princess went up against the maine coon norwegian cat for a baby chipmunk that got into the house. Normally Thomas and Angel ignore each other Pepper our other cat an orange tabby siamese cross actually won the battle and ended up with said chipmunk.

Apparently shelties make great mousers, Angel and Thomas (cat) always get the mice if they make the mistake of getting into the house.
