We're picking a puppy on Thursday!!!!!

Thanks everyone - excitement is building! Tomorrow at noon is when we see the available girls. There were 2 litters, one of 3 mahogany sable girls and the other of 6, four of which are sable merles. The merle girl we are initially interested in has some splashy white markings, and will be "show size" by her estimation. We are trying to borrow another pet stroller to try and get her out every day to socialize while we walk the other hooligans. With everything now on lockdown it will be a challenge to socialize, as Caro has mentioned.

Oh dear! What timing! Oh well, plenty of time to socialize when all of this gets better, and it will. We have to think positive.

Here she is!! It was really tough choosing, we had 4 girls available to us. We kinda ruled out two right away, one was very small and had lots of attitude. One slept the whole time. The big girl they had thought of for us originally was dynamite cute and really outgoing but she was definitely dominant and Faith would be unhappy. Breeder said that one would be a lot more work certainly, but we were tempted. Just a little firecracker and very affectionate and kissy.

But we choose this girl who was much mellower. She seems to like to snuggle and her mom and dad are described as being wonderful temperaments. We did get to meet the mom, a blue merle, she was sweet. She sniffed Faith and Eli but did not really engage whereas the other one ran right up into Faith's face. We all agreed it was probably the right choice. Did get to see all 9 pups and spent over 2 hours talking dogs. It was great.

Have narrowed it down to two names right now - having a hard time deciding. We pick her up next Thursday. Things are gonna change around here!!!
