What strange things do your shelties bark at?

Lexi barks when we let her out of her crate now. She barks when she hears the garage door open, and then when I come in she is quiet...she knows the drill!

She has learned that I won't let her out if she is barking. So she sits very quietly, and as soon as the crate door gets opened, she barks!

Okay ... I am going to be slaughtered but Kai'a barks at our end table, and ... and uh ... um, yeah, right now that's about it. Oh and our hands drumming on the ground when we play with her.

But seriously, I am worried, she hardly barks at all. Not that I am complaining, but I am starting to wonder if something might be wrong.

Don't worry it quite normal. Justice didn't bark hardly at all when he was a pup. Took getting Ember for him to really bark. Even then compared to the girls,he is silent.

Barking

Sting goes nuts when I move the garbage to the curb. He tries to herd it.

Snickers isnt a barker yet.. I dont think that he knows that barking annoys people and gets him attention. HE is still in the "im afraid" stage. but he is getting braver everyday.
I have issues getting him to go outside to do his business. he LOVES going outside with me but as soon as a car goes by he runs right to the door .soo i used to let him in because he starts to shake in fear... but now when he sees a car he runs on the porch but when the car goes away he runs back to the yard.. soo he is learning. (it is funny tho if there is a lot of traffic .. to see a lil pup running back and forth on and off the porch!!!)

Indeed it will! Bailey wasn't much of a barker when she was younger. She definitely found her bark as she got older. She's really funny though. She knows I won't pet her unless she is calm and not jumping or barking, so she barks silently. She basically barks at me with no sound. I think it's adorable.

Maggie has a whole list things she barks at but mostly the ups, garbage, recycling trucks. Zak is pretty good about most house hold things so far but did bark at the windchime the other day. I have a metal cut out of a sheltie standing where Katie is buried and Zak everynow and then barks at it. That we really need to get on video.

The Arm of the Black Spider!

MMM has gone nut-zoid over the black french drain coming off a down spout on the neighbor's garage. He is obsessed with it and barks like a madman. No amount of convincing (a.k.a. treats) will get him near it to investigate and get over it!

She knows I won't pet her unless she is calm and not jumping or barking, so she barks silently. She basically barks at me with no sound. I think it's adorable.

LOL, Kai's sort of does that too. We call it "tyring to talk", she moves her little mouth like she is barking or "talking" but no sound comes out. It's hysterical - and she tries to talk A LOT.

But last night, just as I was finishing up for the night she started digging and bitting and chewing the carpet at the edge of our sofa. It was crazy, so I had to bring out the Bitter Apple and as soon as she saw the bottle .... BARK BARK BARK YIP YIP BARK, etc. I hadn't even sprayed it yet.

I guess I found something else she will bark at ... the bottle of Bitter Apple. Silly girl.

Mike does this scissor thing with his index and middle finger that makes Phebe bark every time. If I do it, nothing. I guess it's their 'thing'.
