2011 Nationals Forum Meetup

Its Official! I'm Going to Nationals

Its official! I will be at Nationals the entire time! I'll be staying in a cabin at a local camp ground with some of the ladies from our local Shetland Sheepdog Club most likely arriving Thursday afternoon so I can get a good nights sleep before the agility trial on Friday.

NOW! I just have to find a local AKC trial in January, February or March so I can get Edan close to one or both of his Open titles. (We need 3 legs of Standard and 2 of JWW.) I'd LOVE to earn one of the titles at Nationals.

Speaking of the cabins I'll be staying at, it sounds like they will have some additional openings since not everyone will be staying the entire week. They also have 1 cabin that isn't full yet. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone was interested.
 
I allowed my work schedule to be changed several times (causing me unwanted stress and it made me miss Jennifer's Halloween sheltie party :no:) so I could butter up some. I usually don't butter up, but I don't want to give them a reason to tell me no. :biggrin2:
 
From what I was told, they take all entries.

Unfortunately, my plans (and the plans of many others) are still in flux. Right now, DH and I are the only ones in the 3rd cabin. Unless I can find folks to share it with, I'll end up in a hotel and only for the weekend. If someone pulls out of one of the other two cabins, I could move into one of those.

Anyone want to share a cabin with me?

Just wanted to let anyone who is still looking for a hotel for Nationals that we found a place 5 miles from the showsite!

It's the Comfort Inn in Pacific, MO and not on the hotel list on the ASSA site..which is probably why it still has rooms LOL I looked on tripadviser.com and it has good reviews.

Anyway, w/AAA it's $79/night for 2 queens or a king bed and instead of their normal $10 per pet per night fee they are doing a $35/stay pet fee. Here is their site if anyone wants it http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-pacific-missouri-MO136

Getting excited we leave in less than 30 days! We're driving thru NM and OK and stopping in OK for a few days for a dog show! hahaha Should be a fun trip :)

Well I ended up booking a flight..we were going to drive but 20 hours would be too much for my mom, so we are flying. Which with fuel prices and the fact that I need brakes and the raccoon messed up the front of my car..its much cheaper to fly! Not to mention taking 10 days off a new job wouldnt fly to well either...:winkgrin:

We are getting excited for our trip though..and a little nervous as we are leaving 5 dogs with my dad:uhoh:
