3yr. old in HIGH KILL SHELTER IN CA.

He was the first thing on my mind this morning too. Couldn't help but think about all those pups..especially that sheltie boy because they're so sound sensitive...being outside during the thunderstorms this weekend. If it were my boy Baron, he might have literally had a heart attack.
 
I'll be following this closely until this dear boy is safe and sound! Dawn, you are amazing! :biggrin2:

Dawn, thank you so much for continuously checking up on him. I hope he can get out of that shelter asap and into a foster home or a forever home.
 
I'm glad Dawn saw this way back when. Sheesh. I definitely am close enough to handle it, but I just saw it. Yikes!! I will say this, if anyone sees anything like this again, those who know me, please contact me via FB. Unless Dawn gets to it first. I know there aren't a lot of us out here and those that are here are pretty far apart.

Dawn, thank you for doing such a great job in handling this!!! You are awesome!!! And although I know you were ready to take him home, I'm glad that SSR is on it, they're a good group, and if they can get him out for free, even better.

So sad. I have to admit. After Dawn described the condition he was in, I'm hoping his owners don't claim him as they obviously don't deserve a dog. Sigh. What a sad story. I hope it comes with a happy ending at least on Wed. If not forever.
 
Thank heaven for Sheltie Nation West! Dawn, what a great job you're doing keeping on top of this one. Thanks to the rest of you out there too for being on call. You are all wonderful Sheltie savers! We will hold our breath until he is safely out of that place.
 
I'm definitely nervous about this boy too until he is in either SSR's hands or Dawn's. Again, thanks to Dawn for staying on top of this!!! Altho I'm in So Cal I'm not anywhere close to this boy's shelter.

Hopefully awaiting good news tomorrow. He needs to have a new home, not go back to where he was neglected!
 
This is getting very complicated. I just had a call from the rescue. They aren't allowed to take him out until the public has had a chance to adopt him. So, Thursday is the first day he can be rescued by the sheltie rescue. We decided I should go get him in the morning if the other 2 people who have holds on him don't show up. Problem is .....he isn't nuetered. So, I would have to leave him at the shelter until they nuetered him and it would be better fof him to be nuetered by the rescue group. It looks like I will be going there in the morning to watch over his adoption and make sure if someone from the public gets him that they are a good home.

KEEP PRAYING GUYS!!!!! This is dicey..

Meanwhile...a pair of shelties has shown up at the Dogs Day Inn in Apple Valley.....OMG!
