A continuing Sca-ga

I was sick today so when the cough medicine kicked in I headed to the vets to get Sca rabie proofed :biggrin2: He is now 14.8 lbs and I think 12.5 inches though that is hard to tell since he runs when I get the tape measure out. Of course then we had to tour to my brother's bike shop for some Sca spoiling. Spot the shepherd will be in the area next week so Sca can visit to play.
 
I have been trying to get Sca used to the leash and got him to do a loop of the yard (with Pupparoni bribes) pretty good. So last night I decided to test him on a longer walk. My parents live about a half mile away so off we went. He did okay but that is beyond his range and it was scary :lol: There was a big dog that barked and I had to carry him by that. Also he got tired a couple of times and decided to park. Overall he walked decent about 2/3 of the way. Not bad for a little guy.
 
I think he is around 13.5 inches now and his biting has VASTLY improved. He has calmed some and is pretty good in the house (he is causing SOME kind of trouble behind the couch but I haven't figured it out yet :o)

I love that video! I've seen it before but forgot about it! Yep, that's our Shelties! Out of control, for sure!
 
Sca liked one that I played later that had six shelties running but no barking. They were all Sables like the herd he came from so he was interested there I think, also his mom was debarked so he was used to less turmoil. After the intro music he ignored X Files though.
 
So we started the day with photos while he was eating (none turned out :( ) then some frisbee to wear him out for later.

Then off to his first puppy class at Petsmart. Sca had a good time. He is normally fairly laid back and passive toward other dogs and was again today. All the other puppies were tiny so he was the big dog :lol: After a bit they warmed up to each other and were playing a small bit. I think he is the best behaved of the class though. Most people had various complaints and Sca is really pretty good (except his insistence on being on furniture).

After that we headed over to Decatur for a few minutes at the agility meet as an illegal. He was really well behaved to anyone that wanted to pet him and even other dogs. There was a fleet of Cockers that barked and he was not into that. By the time I left he was whipped and you could see it.

I dropped him at the house and went to get some food for me.

Well, he did recharge a bit but was to tired for frisbee when I got done eating. It will be interesting to see if the battle of the chair continues or he sleeps tonight..... I think I wore him out :winkgrin:

Tomorrow might be his first bath and some more pictures :cool:
