Angus is missing

Not sure if you all noticed this on Angus's FB page, but Ruffles's owner and friends are asking people to join Angus's page and they are going to help get the numbers up to help find Angus. This shoudl be really helpful since Ruffles has 1200 people on her page.

I thought that this was a really really nice outreach from the Ruffles people to try and give a shared hand. People helping people. I love it.

Is there a link to the FB page?

Great post Michele. You are a FANTASTIC AWESOME SUPER friend to Janet. The best. It is so nice of you to give us an update, as some of us are sitting here on eggshells waiting for some news.

If I sounded a bit pissy in my post about the trap it is because I really feel that Amber (the one who Janet originally gave Angus to) should be doing more. We are all doing this stuff and we aren't the ones who lost Angus. I could not imagine being so nonchalant about losing the dog. Now, I know that Amber is somehow related to Janet, but seriously...Janet was angry at the shelter? She should be angry at Amber. Amber was the one who was SUPPOSED to be notifying the shelters. If she was concerned in the least, she would have been there checking, calling etc. Obviously she was not. And obviously she should not be trusted with that job again.

Phewww.....feel better now.

I am getting way to wrapped up in finding these babies. I need to take a step back for a night

Danielle

I think you've said it best....Alot of people are feeling like there is a blatant irresponsibility on the part of those who should be looking for poor angus...and the members of the forum have stepped up above and beyond to help find him. such a sad situation, those who should be looking for him seem to not be.....

Michele thanks for that great update. I keep hoping I will come on and he has been found. I do think he should not go back to Amber since it sounds like she is doing nothing to help find him. I am so glad Jean did not get hurt when he bolted.
I need to go to Ruffles page and catch up there and it is so nice of them to want to have people get involved in Angus's search.

I keep praying. Michele you and Danielle have done and awesome job keeping us up to date and all your phone and computer work....bless you both.

Yes---thank you to all who have stepped up to help. Michele, Danielle, all of Ruffles' FB members, forum members, Joy, Jean, etc...

I keep praying that something will come for both pups from all of this outreach.

Honestly everyone,I know how I would feel, and I know that each and everyone of you would do the same for us,if one of our babes were lost.

It is a heartwrenching thing,to sit here,so far away, and not be able to be out there calling his name.I think at this point,if it were me I would be in that area every moment,of every day.And I honestly would not care if some idiot pointed a shotgun at me,accusing me of tresspassing.I could not function.

My days are filled with, what can we do next, what phone calls can we make? Yes I feel the same sentiment about Amber,I do hope in my heart, that when Angus is found, and if the situation at Janets, still warrent that Angus is re-homed,that he does not go to Amber.

Like I said,I don't really at this point care about her day job,one can still work, and move mountains by telephone, internet etc.She is not being responsible. If she cared an ounce for Angus,or wanted to know what is being done, all she has to do is type "sheltieforums" in her browser and join.

I've sent emails again tonite to TV station in Ashville, and I will continue to do so.Along with emails to the other TV stations.Tomorrow when I get home,I will do my best to locate phone #'s for the free papers that Joy mentioned to me.

Janet is more than a friend to me,she's a part of an extended part of my family. It is becuase of her trust in us,that we have been givin the chance to own one of her pups. Each day,I am blessed to have been able to cross her path.

This huge search is for all those shelties, that make us smile, every day even in times of picking up poop..these babes are what makes our lives worth getting out of bed every day.

Hug your babes tonite, and whisper a prayer, that Ruffle's & Angus are safe tonite.
Tomorrow another day with a vengence~
Night everyone

This may be a crazy idea but as I was surf the lost and found sites a thought came to mind. Does anyone think it would help if Emma or Figaro was taken near or to the site where Angus was last seen? If he is hiding would he possibly come out to the familiar sent of his parents?

I'm almost certain he would. But with Janet on vacation, its not going to happen till she gets home.I so wished I was dog sitting right now!!

It's not a crazy idea.

It is actually a really good one. I just hope that someone who cares about Angus and is in that location is actually taking these good ideas and using them.

Here is a link to a story of a friend of mine who lost her dog in January. She used another dog to find Tino and it worked. She also has a great list of useful sites. http://www.irishrescue.com/tino.html

I still think that www.findtoto.com is great. It would have worked in the case of Angus, because the people who had him would have gotten a phone call about him being missing. It still could work now.
