Bi blue Sheltie lost at the Topsfield Mass show--FOUND SAFE!

this may sound like a dumb idea, but maybe ask some boy scout troops and girl scout troops to help look for Party.
praying for Party's safe return

I am so happy there was a sighting!

My breeder got her dog back by bringing another dog that the one that was lost loved. She came to the dog...not the person at first. They tend to go feral when they are loose.

The handler was just 15 ft from her and couldn't get her. She said she could tell by her eyes she was feral now.

I posted this on my Facebook page. My pack lives in Mass., & I have friends in the Topsfield area. Unfortunately; I wasn't able to get any info from the link besides the picture. Hoping for the best of luck in this bad situation.

Thank you!
I know everyone is waiting & checking in on recent updates. So many people far & wide are trying to help.
They have been within a few feet of her,but she is feral, scared. Hopefully soon she will be caught.

I'm wondering if they know if she's eating the food they leave. When we were trying to capture our escaped sheltie we finally had to get the local humane society vet involved. She laced some hot dogs with tranquilizer & we put it out for her. We actually saw her eat it but it didn't affect her. This was a rare case & the vet was amazed. She said it should have knocked her out within 30 minutes. The trick is keeping her in sight so when she does go down you can get her. Has anyone checked with animal control to see if they can dart her? I am not a fan of that but it might be the best option. The longer she's out roaming the harder it gets. Trust me, I have 1st hand experience with it. Darting is hard especially if the sightings are random but it could work.

Please keep us posted. e are praying she gets tired soon & gets caught.

Thats what I did with a nasty pitbull someone dropped off in the parking lot. Hot dog laced with Telazol. He fell down 20 mins later and we scooped him up.

She's staying in an area where they can see her now so I passed along your suggestion, Dr. Shelli. We were at the show this weekend -- arrived just after she escaped -- and it was very upsetting that she couldn't be caught. The local Granite State Sheltie club which ran the Specialty on Saturday did a great deal of work to help and everyone pitched in but there weren't even many sightings all weekend. At least they know where she seems to be staying now.

Dr Shelli,
We used the Telazol & it did nothing for Sabrina. The vet was floored. She said if she had injected her with that amount it would have made her OD. Guess we just had one wired sheltie. I am hoping they can get Party with it. She hasn't been loose as long as Sabrina was & maybe won't be as adrenaline rushing.

Shelties are so smart & it is bad in this case. Hoping for good news soon.

It might help if you set up her crate where she has been seen. Of course, you might get an unwanted visitor in it but it would be her safe place and she might go in it.
