Brooke - not good news

I'm so happy - she had a good day yesterday and so far today. Has eaten a decent amount and given us both an energetic facewash. Best Mother's Day gift ever!! I don't know where she pulls these reserves from. It does seem like about day 3 after a bleed she is feeling better, then the next one happens. We will go to City College again soon for her stroller outing.

I had had a premonition that May 11 would be the day she left us, but oh, no, she's got different ideas. She is worth every bit of work and tiredness that we are experiencing.

Thanks to all for continued support, I am amazed how many of you are kind enough to care about someone you've never met. I know you would all love Brookie if you met her.
 
Oh, Sharon, what a wonderful Mother’s Day gift Brooke has given you. So relieved she has rallied again for you on your special day!

How is Brooke doing today? And you..this rollercoaster has to be exhausting!
And I understand about premonitions, the past 2 nights I have had dreams about 1) Gavin escaping through the backyard fence and 2) trying to run away from me.
very disturbing, I woke up so upset and scared until I saw my baby...
 
The weekend was so great, she had a good time and was stable, then Sunday night (always friggin' at night!) she bled again. We are very quick to catch it usually but this time she vomited up all the dinner we'd managed to get her to eat.... oy vey. Emergency pill given, kept a close eye on her all night, and this morning she is OK if a bit weak. She did follow me into the bathroom though, which is her habit.

She gave me a very quick face wash (can you tell I count on those?). I don't know how many times we will go through this, I absolutely had no idea about the course of this disease. It is not like other cancers. I am very lucky that my hubby is a willing participant in her care, otherwise I don't know what I would do.

You are indeed blessed to have such a great man by your side who is so understanding and compassionate under these intensely stressful circumstances. Give him a BIG HUG! What a trooper he is... :hugs

Oh my gosh, Cindy... that was a nightmare! I feel for you... I am so glad you woke up and was comforted by Gavin by your side... that would have haunted me all day!
 
It was worse than that, I though Gavin was trying to run away from me to go die :( Seriously, in the nightmare I was thinking that....

I am glad Brooke is recovering...Gosh..I was really worried after how bad the previous episode was..
