Checkers' Surgery - Great News!

Checkers is out of surgery! Vet said she did fine and they used the absolute minimum anesthesia so she's sitting up already. They couldn't get wide margins because of where the lump was on her jaw, so we have to hope they got it all. Now we wait for the biopsy results. I'll be able to pick her up in a few hours. Can't wait to have her home! Thanks to everyone for your good thoughts, prayers and wishes!!

Hip Hip Horray! Checkers came through her ordeal with flying colors!

She's doing great this morning. Eating, alert, and looking good. I could not believe it yesterday, she pranced out of the vet's office like she was going in the show ring. I've never had a dog so alert after anesthesia. She really is the Wonder Dog! Thanks to everyone for your support!!

Isn't that just wonderful news!!!! She is such a tough little cookie, a Wonder Dog indeed. So glad it went so easily and she's back home to pester you for your yogurt!
