Clicking Sound: Am I worrying too much?

Great that you got some answers and now have a plan in place. Yes, it will be hard to keep a pup calm!

when Liam was at Kip’s age he had one eye that was always tearing. I went to the vet and he kept telling me this happens quite frequently so not to worry as he will grow out of it! I was still concerned until it resolved!

You are doing all the right things. I am sure all will be well! Rest, rest, rest...

Yes, I have a crate and an X-Pen. I'm going to work on simple tricks that don't involve much movement, and don't stress his hind legs at all, to try and keep him happy and busy. It will be tough!

Really so glad to hear the big things, hips & knees, are fine. Hope the other abnormality is nothing much. I know it's a bummer to keep him on rest for a while but hopefully the clicking will go away and the growth plate is OK.

Some puzzle toys are great too to keep them occupied! I love the Nina Ottosson ones like this one when I need to keep one quiet but still challenged.

The puzzle toy might be a good idea, but Kip is not very enthusiastic about food. It's been almost a week of rest, and I still hear the clicking. Maybe I'm being impatient about how fast it should go away.

Elei, how is Kip doing?

The clicking is exactly the same. No change at all. :gaahHowever, he is still showing no discomfort. Very happy and playful. I'm allowing him to play a bit more now, and per the vet's instructions we started doing very low cavalettis. He hates not being allowed to run free. That is the worst part. He is going back to the vet on Monday. We'll see what she thinks. We may send the x-rays off for a second opinion.

The fact that he is happy, playful and not showing discomfort is wonderful. It’s difficult for us trying to figure out the “what is it”. Hope you get it figured out soon. :)
