We are sorry to hear about Dakota, but dont give up hope. Our second sheltie "Dundee" was found to have stomach cancer at the age of seven. We were offered two options surgery & chemo or put the dog to sleep. After much thought & discussions with the vet we opted for the surgery expensive yes bit considering the joy she brought to our family we decided to opt for the surgery. To make a long story short Dundee not only survived the surgery
& a short bout of chemo, but lived another seven yearsPlease keep us posted as to how Dakota makes out

I'm glad to see Becky & FedAce have made up & gotten back to the topic at hand without me having to say anything.
Shelley...your post was inappropriate, rude, inflammatory...and a quick way to get banned. You need to go re-read the rules!
As much as many of you may disagree with what FedAce said (and/or the "tone" they chose to say it in) people are entitled to their opinions. It is your choice to agree, disagree & discuss...just keep it civil!

I'm putting my "beat the forum members" stick away now.![]()

Being human, sometimes what we've experienced or found is in contradiction and there are a few sparks. But at heart, beneath it all, lies our love of the Shetland Sheepdog and our heartfelt allegiance to the Sheltie Nation!![]()
Folks can get so passionate and forget that we are all here for the same reason!
