Delay in gastric emptying

Prayers going out for Liam, his surgeon, and for you as well.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please continue to update us when you are able to.

Please give Liam a gentle hug from me. Thanks.

I will be thinking of you all morning. I've been through this with one of my dogs, and I have an idea how you're feeling. I wish an uneventful surgery and uncomplicated recovery for Liam, and peace for you.:hugs

Thank you all. I am off to work soon - have to be there for 8:15 with a full day of patients (thank goodness). I am going to call after I get to work to see how Liam made out and then call around 1. The vet figures surgery will start around 10:30. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so am exhausted today.

Good news - Liam is out of surgery

Liam is out of surgery and already on his feet. There was some sort of blockage. I will be speaking with the vet later tonight and will update. Not sure if he will be home today or not.

Natalie really missed her brother.

Natalie really missed her brother.

Wonderful news that he seems to be doing well. Continuing to pray for Liam's speedy recovery.

I hope you can relax soon, I'm sure you've had several sleepless nights.

I'm so glad to hear the surgery is over. Thanks for the update, and we'll continue to send prayers for Liam's speedy recovery!

Liam is home. He had a foreign body in the stomach (a ball of hair and chewed up plastic) as well as cecal impaction and part of the small bowel twisted around the colon. He looks good for having had such major surgery.
