Dog Wheelchair

So Gavin pretty much bunny hops/tripod hops when he walks until he gets tired....
obviously at home he just limps around, but when he moves with any speed it is like that

Nothing is going to get by our boy Gavin! His ears and eyes might be failing in his senior years... but, not that nose!

Actually, he is going really well! Good boy Gavin! Thanks mom for posting for all my fans on Sheltie Nation!
 
He really wasn't doing this until a few months ago. Not sure why.
But he REALLY moves on his walk when he needs to go poop. That block doesn't have many good spots so sometimes he has to move fast :)
 
He really gets along at a good clip! Such spirit, such heart, he's like the rest of us, still yearns to be young and able! Go get 'em Gavin!!!
 
I got snuggles this morning, too :)
our short walks do wear him out, though. all that hopping requires rest during and after.

he is a very sweet little guy.....his hearing loss affected him as much as the leg I think. he doesn't want me out of sight even in the condo.
 
Gavin has had a good week :)
I have been met with happy barking sheltie when I get home :)
And he has been very eager for his belly rubs....

Foodwise, he has been eating his supplements with his food and no yogurt.
his teeth are suffering so we are cutting back on the yogurt....
 
Gavin has still been pretty perky. eager for his 15 minute walks in the morning, too. he hops merrily along for most of it until he tires a bit. then we stop and rest a lot. Still a sweet boy :)
