Dog Wheelchair

I just love Gavin's spirit...he was probably just enjoying his walk so much he forgot about everything else..he's such a sweetheart! Maybe the extra attention he got from the two ladies gave him extra energy...all that attention from them, and our dogs are such social creatures. I can just see Gavin, all happy and just ready to go!

How is Beckon?
I wonder how he is adapting.
I feel like Gavin is an almost tripod, but I really don't know how similar he is to that in reality.

we are on our second pair of griptex booties, he actually wore through the thick rubber on his. exactly where he 'stands' on his bad leg's toes

He was super spunky again today on his walk.
I am going in this week to work after all, Friday and Saturday, so I will see how he does.
I predict he won't miss me at all, he might miss the daily morning walks if I can't keep them up.
He pretty much sleeps soundly the entire day until dinner time (seniors are great), only waking to switch from bed to bed or couch.
I will miss him, though. good thing I will be going back to work more like 1/2-3/4 time for a while so I can get used to it.
With the way things are, it might be a while before I am at work 100%.

Funny thing this morning, as were walking over the freeway, a caltrain vehicle had a police car running a traffic break.
It took less than a minute or 2 for traffic to back up for miles, even though there are maybe 10-15% of the normal amount of cars on the road.
I will miss all the fewer cars on the road when things start back up.

Can't imagine having that much traffic regularly! I live in a city with a population of around 700,000...don't travel from one end to the other often and hate it when traffic backs up near the mall because of new builds lol. I'd rather drive a few extra blocks just to avoid traffic!

Hopefully all the big tech companies like apple and google and facebook will keep with wfh until things are under control.
That along made a huge difference the week before CA shut down most things.
I like my 10-15 minute drive (as opposed to 25 in traffic, and its not just the time but the stress off bumper to bumper traffic).

Today we spent extra time watching squirrels, I sat down and enjoyed the breeze with him.
It's warming up so I need to wake up earlier.

we took a shorter walk (for me, not necessarily for Gavin) around the block this morning.
It really is getting too warm, today's high is gonna be 80 and I would say it was close to 70 in the sun.
Gavin really does best when it's mas 60ish. This morning was pushing it, and it was 9:30 ish.
He sis fine, but was definitely panting quite a bit, had to take a rest, and was panting for a good while once we got home

I wish...we're the opposite...unusually cold. Normal is close to 65 high and today they're calling for a high of 8 C (about 45) yesterday was maybe 50. Good thing about the cooler weather is I can work in the yard and the dogs don't get too hot. I was working in the yard all day yesterday (made a raised bed) and Finnie was out with me. He spent so much time barking at everyone and running from one end of the yard to the other he had no energy to mooch at supper:lol:. Poor guy went to his dog bed to have a nap. Today will be a repeat of yesterday as I'm expecting dirt and mulch to be delivered (5 yards of dirt) and I have too much wood so have to make a 4 x 4 bed too...I'm crazy...I'm going to have all vegetable beds in my yard lol.
