Dog Wheelchair

So Gavin and I do 1 or 2 walks every day. either to a local small park, where Gavin walks around a bit and watches squirrels.
Now that I have the time I will let him watch for 10-15 minutes, so he heads straight to that grassy spot as soon as I pop him out of his stroller.

Our other walk is over a freeway bridge and includes a very small park and some baseball fields and back. I used to walk him up the freeway bridge and back down on one side, but they started construction right before things got closed down here and there is no good place for me to put the stroller while we go up and back. So we normally walk around the little park a bit, and then I stroller him over to the baseball fields and we walk around there a bit, before we go back to his stroller and I bring him over the bike bridge. Well, today Gavin got some loves from two women at the park and was really enjoying it! when I got him back out of the stroller by the baseball fields he just kept going...and going...and going all the way up the bike bridge that goes over the freeway. He didn't want to stop and didn't slow down. I had to make him turn around at the top because I was afraid if he kept going he wouldn't be able to make it all the way back.

I think he is getting cabin fever :)
either that or he is REALLY bored

I worry about him cause he is 14, and am always looking for signs of physical decline.
I know his walking on 3 legs means he is going to have more mobility issues at some point.

But Gavin manages to surprise me (in a good way) every once in a while. This was definitely one of those times.

When he 'walks/hops' on 3 legs he is moving pretty fast, faster than I walk so I kind of had to jog a bit to keep up with him.
it is a funny site, me being pulled along by a dog hopping in a weird motion (since he does have all 4 legs, it looks very odd)
oddly enough, he was resistant to the tripod motion for a long time, and didn't start doing it for over a year after his leg problems
when he is moving slowly it is because he is using/limping on his fourth leg kinda like a crutch. that is what he does at home and it looks awful.
