The bottom line is--you have to use the POSITIVE methods that word best for your individual dog. It's like a bratty kid--if you don't tell them no, they will continue to misbehave and become out of control. Sometimes it takes a loooonnnngggggggggg time to figure out what works with your dog and what doesn't. The living example of that is laying at my feet. :rolleyes2:

I would surely love to know why Ron doesn't get woke up in this manner, or sprayed with water when MMM comes up from the brook or any of his other wonderful practical jokes.

It is me, the one with the brusque voice, as I am told that the dogs just love to play and tease with.

Ainsley's Mom said it perfectly for me. Every dog is different. I don't believe you have to dominate your dog, but I do believe your dog has to know that your are the leader or parent. Otherwise he will walk all over you.

Lahree...Bailey is far from sensitive too.
