Ellie's in Crisis

OH Thank You Jesus and St. Francis!!

I'm estatic !!! Just so relieved to hear the Fantastic news. Ellie now be a good girl for Mommy and Daddy and stop giving them and all of us heart attacks.:eek2: Now all of you need to catch up with some rest and relaxation!!! HOOOORRRRRAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! Ellies Home!!!!!:biggrin2:

Thank heavens Ellie is doing better. I checked today everytime I could get to a computer for up dates. Hopefully she will have no ill effects or future mishaps. You guys have had more than enough in the last weeks.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone! I am on Ellie duty now while Richard sleeps.

Ellie is sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. Do you think that is normal? She seems a little "dopey" when she wakes up and moves to another spot, but does not have tremors or shaking at all. She ate fine this morning and has been pooping and peeping ok. Do you think she is just plain "dog tired?" I have now become offically neurotic about this dog and her health. :rolleyes2:

I would think she's just plain tuckered out. She sounds like Max after a day at doggie daycamp. Just keep looking after her like I know you are.

She probably is a still a little dopey from her ordeal. The poor baby went through an awful lot. Just keep an eye on her, I'm sure everything will be just fine.

Thank goodness! Our pupsters are sturdier than we might think at times. I wouldn't be surprised if she isn't just worn out from a long night. As long as she drinks, eats and excretes normally, I wouldn't worry.

OMG! I've been away at the cottage the last 5 days and only now catching up!

Thank god, she seems to be out of the woods. Nicotene is so extremely toxic, it is a wonder that she got through it! It's not surprising that she's dopey now. Nicotene is a stimulant and once passed through the body, can create a low (kinda like a "sugar high".

I know how scary this is. I remember when Bacca was only a pup and got at my son's dope and had to have his stomach pumped and kept for observation overnight. I was a wreck!

To this day, Bacca still has a nose for it. I swear he would make a great airport sniffing dog, if he would only stop eating the evidence.

I had some workman come to work on my fence last week. I got home from work and let the dogs out to play. I checked on them a few minutes later and saw a pack of smokes strewn around the yard. I assumed it was Indy chewing on the cardboard, until the workman fessed up that he had a little bit of weed in the pack. Guess who! Fortunately not enough to make him sick, this time.

She's obviously a strong girl and a fighter! And she's blessed with parents like you who care for her so much. Hugs all around!
