Sweet Gavin... he only knows kindness! As it should be! Stay strong... hugs!To be fair, she didn't tell me it was cancer. She just told me it was a tumor, which I hadn't seen since Gavin wasn't returned to me yet. His records have his previous cancer and radiation in it, so I know I get more sympathy since we have been through this before and am obviously a caring dog owner. I was hoping it was an abcess hiding under all that matted fur. His ruff fur is just soo....fluffy. and with it being right where the colllar rests...
But Gavin is a trooper; he lays down and lets me clean and bandage it. I know all the vet techs loved him. I made sure everyone knew he was deaf but very compliant and sweet since they were going to be shaving his neck and cleaning up the area.

If it is a histiocytoma it’s possible you never noticed it because they can appear quite suddenly so it could be that it wasn’t there for very long when you noticed it. Fingers crossed that whatever it is that it’s benign!![]()
