I'm wondering if it's the kind of wound that needs to granulate in, and the scab is stopping that from happening. I think it might be time for a vet visit, if it needs to be debrided for a fresh start. Just a guess.

It actually looks like it is granulating in on it's own and is just a nice happy pink moist wound. I just don't want to pull the scab off quite yet, I'm hoping it'll come off on it's own. Keeping the area under a bandage should keep it moist and that should help as well. I think by Monday it should be looking significantly better. I've done the wet dressings at the vet when Gavin had his surgery stitches pop years ago; that was a nasty wound that took a long time to granulate in, but this isn't at that scale by far.

From my perspective…
No, each month, day, hour, minute is cherished! We all have been where Gavin and Cindy are in senior care. We will support them no matter how long this thread is meant to be. Gloria, Baron, Beau, and Liam.

I, like Gloria and Ann do not believe this thread is too long. As long as Gavin is still around and going strong this thread should continue. If I had ongoing issues with Piper (or anyone with their dog for that matter) then why start a new thread for each thing that comes up?

This thread is like a journal for Gavin, and there's no point making a new thread with each variation on the topic. Yes it's long, but that's OK. Totally agree with the above statements. Support and encouragement is what we're all about!

I. Agree it's not to long at all, As long as we support each other who cares how long it is It's nice hearing how he's doing and I learn things as his journey continues .
