Gavin's Never Ending Dotage (Part 2)

The best part of this is going to be the easy availability of Motel 6. I will probably stay in AZ the first night, somewhere around Flagstaff (have to get past Williams as that can get full due to Grand Canyon tourists) and TX/OK (between Amarillo and OK city) the second. I should be in StL the third night. The way back I might vary that a bit as I will have more flexibility. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is that since it is winter daylight won't be as long as I'd like for early evening driving (I'm aiming for 7AM-7PM). Once in StL, I will be with my Mom as her caregiver, but I should have free time to get out a few hours here and there to not go stir crazy.

I've done this drive with Gavin before and we stopped and visited people. But this time is not very social. Now once I am stuck in StL, things will be less hectic (I hope).
And it is still possible the surgeon will want to do chemo before surgery (that is done for pancreatic cancer at ties) which would alter the timeline quite a bit. Sigh....

sigh.....surgeon appointment is on Halloween. No idea when surgery would be. Hopefully in November! I really don't want to be driving right before Thanksgiving and hitting traffic (especially around LA).

Gavin had a hard time settling last night, I had to give him an extra puppy pot treat and turn the fan on. Our weather is changing, going from cool to warm in a day and back. He really struggles when it warms up at night so I think I need to keep the fan on when I go to bed even if its cold in case it warms up. so I am under like 6 blankets! Gavin has slept all day. I had to wake him to pee and poop him before going to work, and I'll have to do the same before bedtime. I really hope he perks up tomorrow with a good night's sleep. It's almost scary, how he hasn't moved much at all since I've gotten home.
