I ordered some from Wickets by Mel. Should be here Monday. It kind of looks like medical tape, but maybe it's stickier? I don't know, but I know that lots of sheltie and collie people use it! lol

Yes, it is stickier, and thicker than medical tape, which doesn't work on ears. It also works better if you keep it in the refrigerator. No, you can't get it at a pharmacy. The only place I know that sells it is Wickets by Mel.

What did you buy specifically.
Ultimately I would like to find a way to tape without gluing and strings. Even if I have to reapply ever couple of days.
I just haven't found a tape to hold yet. I might have to trim inside ears first.

On this page it's the 'Japanese Tape.' It looks like for international shipping you have to email them to place an order.
The video I posted earlier is a method that only uses tape, no glue/strings, but I haven't been able to try it first-hand. It looks pretty simple, but then again, they all make it look easy!

I concur....Kaleigh had adorably tipped ears at first, then just as teething began, the wonkiness started. So forging ahead with glue (tried the taping, that lasted 10 seconds before she got it off, and I followed Sheltie Talks instructions, sigh) so onward with the false eyelash glue. The first time held a week or so, but as I got more proficient and Kaleigh less squirmy, it held wonderfully. I took it out only a couple of times to see progress. At about 7 mths, they were looking good, her left was a bit more stubborn so I finished up using chewing gum on the outermost tip, only because she HATED the smell of unisolve, other stuff takes it out, but it takes longer to saturate and she has NO patience for that, wasn't worth the struggle. Chewing gum was an easier fix, comes out pretty easily with most oils. And at 9 mths, the ears hold the tip, and look fine. My 2nd pup, coming in November will be more of a challenge I think as her ears seem to be lower set, so probably will have to learn the bracing technique for her. Her dad has good tipped ears, her mom has a flyer and a hound dog ear...but since we already bonded, gotta work through it.

The right ear taped down and has held, starting week 3. The left has been taped for about 8 days without coming unstuck. I do not refrigerate the tape, I don't think the humidity would be good. I warm the tape with my hands before I use it, that seemed to help alot.
I had a lesson in mole skin and yarn... now thinking they need a brace... but I'm getting the tape to stick. Experiment is right! Going to watch the you tube to learn how to make a brace with tape.

I would also like to see that both of my little dog's ear was tipped, but that's the reality apparently not, as one standing upright.
Definitely - not to hurt anyone.

My dogs are not hurt, it doesnt hurt them and them dont even notice the gluing. None of them have. Not a big deal. 30 seconds done. Tape in my hands doesnt workfor me, it takes me too long to do.
