Thanks to all of you. I am so grateful for my Sheltie Forum family...your support, comfort, advice, and especially the laughs, but never more now. Your messages have meant a great deal to me.

Tonight, Ivy went to join Scruffy and Bandit at the Rainbow Bridge. The three of them are together again, playing, healthy and happy, I pray. Her cancer reached the point in the last 10 days where she was having trouble keeping food, and her medicine, down, and she was very uncomfortable as well. We agreed, after consulting with our vet, that it was time to let her go.

Still, it was so very difficult. As many times as I've said goodbye to my beloved dogs, it is always harder than I think it will be when the time comes.

Godspeed, Ivy, until we see you again.

I'm so sorry Ann. You're right..it never is any easier. Maybe that's a good thing though because then it show's we are once again capable of fully loving these wonderful little blessings....without any limit caused from being afraid of the inevitable "end" whenever that may be. I know in my heart that we will all be together again some day. Any "being" that can bring such love and happiness to our lives just has to be in a very special and wonderful place in the meantime.

I'm so sorry for you....

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's tough to say goodbye to our friends, even when they're unwell or after a long illness.

As others have said she is in good company and at peace.

Hugs
