Hartley measured 10 1/4" at 11 wks 2 days

It doesn't matter if she thinks he needs more expression or not. It is what he is to you that counts the most.

He is one handsome dude.

I think his expression is gorgeous. He has a great look and such terrific animation! What a beautiful little boy. I'm sure you're loving every minute with him! Pats from us! :hugs

I love his face. I know I am no sheltie judge but I would take him home in a minute! Don't know anything about maturation rates in shelties but he will be a cute bundle whatever size he ends up at. How's the housetraining going??

More expression...hmmm, I think he has lots of expression. Would be interesting for our show people to put their 2 cents in about that comment. He sure is a cute and handsome boy.

He's looking adorable and I'm not surprised he has won your heart! We're all smitten too!

I wouldn't have thought he would be a giant or a tiddler on those measurements but that's as far as I'm going to predict:wink2: Epic was looking small but about 9 1/2 months he had a significant growth spurt and is now about 14 1/4.

I'm curious about your friend's comment about his expression. I've heard "Expression could be sweeter/softer" etc but never 'more' expression. I'm not sure what she meant by that as an 'expressive' face isn't something that's required:confused2: At this age expression can change a great deal as although the eye shape and placement is reasonably estalished, a lot depends on how the head develops and the set of the ears etc. Yogi's sister had a very round eye as a puppy but is softened considerably as she matured.

Expression is a matter of interpretation anyway. Revel, to me, has a gorgeous expression but his eyes are regarded as too large and round. I think you can see his soul in his eyes, whereas Yogi's, which are far more 'correct' to me do not have that 'readable' quality.

Hmmm...have to agree I've never come across a sheltie that has any difficulty in expressing itself!!

I'm no expert by any means, but I agree with Julia,he will change in his facial expression, especially when he starts getting big boy teeth in.

But as far as I am concerned, and I think everyone here concurs,he is the sweetest ever in photos. I think he is just a joy to watch & see in photos,Brian & I look every day to catch an updated picture of him. He has attitude thats for sure.

He just makes us smile, and I know he puts a smile on your face as well.
Hugs~~:hugs
