Welcome, I know you will love it here. When I first decided to get a Sheltie, I fell in love with the Rabbit Run Shelties, I had the website up so many times that people were asking if that was my wallpaper, and supposedly, CeCe has a little Shelhaven in her, if you can believe her pedigree. Don't forget, we love pictures here. Again, welcome to the forum!
Welcome!! I am new here, but I appreciate any breeder who is as obviously beloved as you. I hope we get to hear some great Sheltie stories.

Well, Thank You all for the wonderful welcome. I am always pleased that my puppies are received so well, in the conformation ring, and by the wonderful families the adopt my wee ones. I only breed one litter every year or two. With thoughtful planning, not only for structure, but for temperment, always moving forward in my goal, to come as close to the sheltie standard as written. Never breeding to make more puppies, but to breed that shining star, that one combination that has the wow factor. A melting expression that draws you in, a solid balanced body,and a "look at me" personality. Then, all of you get to benefit from that breeding! I can't keep them all! Isn't that what all breeders strive for? So, again thank you!!

Bacca's got the melting expression for sure but if you could only help me fix Bacca's ears......He ain't nothing but a hound dog....! Crying all the time. (ps. Bacca is the master of the Eeyore face)

Oh, Barb,
It is so hard to correct ears up once they are low. Low ears are like bending leather in the wrong place. Depending on his age, you can try bracing them. Hopefully over time the old bend with strengthen, and the new bend will work. It is easier to get prick ears over.........still not easy when the dog is over a year. If you would like to try, I will certainly help you all I can......with the written word. Now, if you come to Connecticut I can work on them!

Thanks, Connie! I was mostly joking, really! At 16 months, I've given up. Now I'm mostly looking at grooming techniques to minimize the look. As you'll find out on the forum, I am constantly whining about Bacca's ears (I usually blame my inadequate gluing technique but take consolation when I'm told that its really in his genes...."Oh, he's one of "xxxxxx's" progeny! That explains it!"
