Help Save Zippy Texas

[lasheltie]

Yay!!! Guess made all our efforts paid off. Great teamwork to spread the word. I was going to contact PilotsNPaws to see if they could transport him here if all else failed. Here's a link to them for future reference- http://pilotsnpaws.org/
They were going to help me get a sheltie transported out west.

When I saw poor Zippy on petfinder he just spoke to my heart to try to spread the word about him. I am beyond happy he is going into a foster home.
Thank you Austin rescue for not forgetting him. Hope we get updates. Thank you to all who cared for and acted on Zippy's behalf.!!!

Spoke to my heart too Danny’s mommy, just couldn’t stop thinking about his last days, abandon. What must he be thinking… so alone, so sad.

I’ll breath my last sigh of relief when I hear Zip is safe in rescue and getting ready for foster. I just can’t say enough for great folks at ASR. I’m from PA but I wish I could thank them all in person and give Zip a hug. I’ll let you all know as soon as I hear from ASR and any pictures they send to me, I’ll pass along.

Yeah!!! Zip !! Hugs and prayers!

Great team work ladies! I was so, so sad for Zippy, thinking not even Sheltie Rescue wanted him. Sure wasn't going to be a line of adopters waiting for him either. So tears of joy are in my eyes now that he has a reprieve. Thanks to all you angels who care enough to help.

We love you, Zippy!

Absolutely wonderful news for Zippy.

Truly an answer to prayers.

so glad there is soul locally that will take him. He probably won't tolerate any flights in his condition anyway. Senior age deserves a respect, we all going to be there...

Fantastic news! Thanks to everyone who made this happen. I hope Zippy has a wonderful forever home.

Zippy with Austin Sheltie Rescue!

I just received word.....Zippy has been rescued by ASR!!! A "kind soul" came forward and offered to foster him, according to the head of the rescue. I will try to get some pictures, which are on the facebook page for Austin Sheltie Rescue posted!

Praise God!!!!

Zippy Pictures - safe and sound

Here are the pics posted by ASR earlier today. He looks good, all things considered.

Dannys Mom, you did a great job....as well as everyone else who pitched in to help this pup. I think ASR was bombarded with inqueries about Zippy! LOL!
