In the blink of an eye the dogs got out!!!

I'm glad to hear the second diagnosis went better! Now you can relax a little and get both dogs feeling calm and happy and confident again!

They are both acting fine. Just very suspicious about getting pills. Lacey's bite is scabbed over, not swollen, Milo is still a bit red, but not swollen at all.

Glad to hear things are healing and the dogs are feeling better.
We can never know how bruised they were/are, so no surprise they had a few days of lower activity.

Did the vet recommend a recheck in a few weeks?

Very smart to get a second opinion, and I'm glad that your dogs didn't have to do an unneeded and expensive procedure. Hope they heal quickly!

They both are doing very well thank you. Just very suspicious of us right now because we do mean things to them. We make them take pills......the horror!!!

I'm just glad we didn't jump on the first vet's treatment plan or buy cones from them like they insisted we needed. They can't reach the area where the bites are so why would they need cones?

They did call the next day to see how the dogs were, which was nice, but we won't be going back to that office again.

Your story makes me remember that I need to find a new vet. We dearly loved our vet, but he's left his practice in our area and is now about 25 miles away. I wasn't super impressed with the other vets at the clinic, but I'd better find someone soon in case of emergency!

I'm a little late on responding to this as I have been busy at work and at home.

I wanted you to know that I am sorry this has happened. :( It is a scary thing when your pups are attacked. Cleo was attacked at a dog park as a puppy and it scared the living daylights out of me. I am glad you got a second opinion too. I hope they continue to recover okay and it doesn't have any lasting effects like it did on my Cleo.
