Kip seems fine this morning! He slept in late, but is acting normal. We played tug and he was happy and bouncy as usual.
Kip got stung by yellow jackets!

What a nightmare! Glad to hear the antihistamine did it’s job. Hope he isn’t in too much pain today. Poor boy. What a scary experience.

Just wanted to update this.
The gagging while eating and drinking went away after a few days. I don’t know what caused it, but it seems likely it was the stings. Maybe reflux as Caro suggested, or maybe some swelling and irritation.
He did get a small infection in his ear from the sting. It bothered him a lot, but finally healed up. I just found out that my neighbor’s Aussie got stung in the same area, and ended up with an infected paw from the stings and had to have antibiotics for 20 days!!!! All the more reason to spray the nest!
