Hi everyone,
Megan here. Thank you so much for your support and condolences - your replies are wonderful to read.
Per popular request, I went through our albums and have scanned in a couple of Mark pictures.
The win photo is from our very first weekend showing together. I had brought him home in March, from the VA Beach national show (mom and the Hildreths had arranged the whole thing as a surprise for me), and I wanted to start showing him right away! I thought he was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. Mom said no, we had to practice together and learn to be a team - so we waited until June, and worked very hard in the meantime. The patience paid off, and I won Best Junior at two of the three shows that weekend. I love how young we both are - Mark was only two years old!
The portrait is from when he was eight. I love how soft it is - soft ears, soft eyes, soft muzzle. That's how he was. That face got kissed a LOT.
The picture of the two of us was just a fun one we did - I think it was a Christmas card one year. I was maybe 14 or 15. I think he looks so handsome here.
Having this little project (going through the pictures, getting ready to share them) has really brightened my day. It helps me focus on his life - which was so beautiful and amazing - instead of his death. Thank you all.
