After a couple of hours' drive, detours, going the wrong way, we are home. Here are some pictures of a boy and his dog:
Meet Ben and Max. Max's father is from the kennel my Hamish came from. He is such a sweet puppy. Great-Aunt Ronna gets to pupsit on Sunday when the family has passes to Canada's Wonderland, courtesy of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Thanks everyone. Ben is so excited, he never shut up the two-hour drive home. He has so many plans for this puppy, even when he moves out and takes Max with him.
It is heartbreaking to see how the steroids have already affected him. I felt it a real privilege to help my nephew out this way. The puppy has such a sweet personality - the breeder was also excited. This was the first puppy she had ever sold to become a service dog.
Melissa - I gave the name of the trainer to my niece, if it is the one I am thinking of. She will be contacting her.
