Missing Sheltie: Harford County MD (Belcamp/Riverside) FOUND SAFE!

I will keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer for you. I hope the lost pup makes it home safe and sound.

With so many stories of dogs being found days, months, and even years after vanishing, I think there is always reason to hope.

I keep checking in hopes to get some great news about little Oliver. I can't get that little guy off my mind, and won't until we hear he's home safely. It just breaks my heart when a furchild gets lost like this.

I pray for you to get a wonderful homecoming with the little guy today.
 
Wonder if you took Cali for a walk in the area that he ran away from or where he used to live if that would entice him out into the open? I pray he finds his way home soon.

One thing you should be aware of: our Shelties have tremendous stamina and perserverance and can survive the most remarkable things.

When I was growing up, we lost our Callie in the mountains in Germany (or was it Austria??) There was a freak snow storm in the middle of July. She was found two weeks later by a tour bus on the side of the road. Somehow she found a way to survive. The village at the bottom of the mountain took her in and fed her schnitzel and sausage for two more weeks until we could go back and get her. I don't think she wanted to come back with us!

Wow! These little wonders will never cease to amaze us... What a reunion that must have been.
 
My vet has always said that Shelties have an incredible strong pain threshold! I guess that means an instinct for survival. Maybe that's the Shetland Isles breeding in them...

Oliver - be strong and come home soon!
 
Oh no! Any updates?

My husband's cousin lost her Sheltie for 6 months! He actually lived through a NJ winter in the woods, before he finally was returned home.

I will keep my fingers crossed.

I have posted up numerous ads on sites like craigslist and what not and Oliver's parents went around with the lost dog signs today. The local animals shelters were checked a few times today with nothing either. It was a miserable day with heavy rain for most of it so hopefully a loving soul picked him up, fed him and is keeping him warm until they get out and see the signs and can return him home. We have scoured the local roads around here again and see no signs of him being hit by a car or anything so we are still very hopeful. His parents recently moved about a month ago but we realized his old house is only about 3 miles from here so we are thinking he may have made it over to that neighborhood somehow. Anything is possible and we just hope to have him back soon! Keep praying for us please!

Oliver remains in my thoughts and prayers to St. Francis. Please Guide him home St. Francis, Oliver is loved and sadly missed. :sadsmile:
