Monty's getting stronger

I agree with Lisa about the pumpkin. It's a superfood too and is really good for them. Make sure to use plain, canned pumpkin, not the pie mix. You might also try giving him several small meals a day, three or four. He might digest that easier.

I'd also be giving him probiotics as Elei suggested and milk thistle after all the meds he's had, for his kidneys and liver.

So happy to see him improving!

Thanks again all for the awesome advice! Monty is now on probiotics as well so hopefully that will help out. I forgot about the pumpkin when I was out so I'll go out and get some tomorrow morning. I'll see if I can pick up some milk thistle as well.
He has been weighed today and gained 1lb so we are heading in the right direction.......just very slowly, or he just had not pooped yet :lol:

He managed to steal a computer game disc today and run away, by the time I got it back it was no good so he's certainly getting better :rolleyes2: lol.

Definitely headed in the right direction! It's funny, I hear all these stories about bad dogs and wonder how'd i luck out?:lol:
Good news that Monty gained a pound! That's awesome!
I think you need to be more careful with your stuff Darren...:razz:

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: lol at these comments!
The CD was on the girls little desk....butttt Montys climbing is worse than it has ever been for some reason, so nothing is safe. I'd love to know if he was a climber in his previous home or if it's something he learned here. He's still getting tired easy but inbetween rests I'm having to lift him down off everything.

Oh and a little disaster story....I went out for lunch today with family and friends to an outdoor place that allows dogs. I go to the restrooms and leave Monty with a friend.....I come back to my party all standing around the table next to us. I walk over to find out my friend didn't know how to use Montys retractable leash....this meant Monty was able to jump onto the table next to us and drop Mr Broccoli onto a womans plate, then knock over her husbands drink during the panic. Luckily she managed to see the funny side but it still cost me as I had to pay to replace their dinner and drinks + the staff had to come out and clean up the spillage and broken glass.....while I got a lecture from the manager about needing to keep my dog under control....... I was only gone for about 5mins, soo embarrassing :gaah.
Lately he has been very timid so i don't know what happened to make him go over lol. My friend wasn't watching and only noticed when he heard shouting and noticed Monty on the table.....I suppose that's what I get for having a 10m leash :lol:
