Your friend is so right Ann!
Great advice for you now.

Continued prayers and blessings to you and Checkers that no further intervention will be needed!

Crapola! Disappointing news, but not terrible, Ann. Clean margins mean a lot, and it was pretty small. Really hoping it will not be an issue. I know how devastated I was when Ally was diagnosed with sarcoma in a toe, and had to have it amputated. I cried and mourned and was anxious.... until she came home and simply went around stomping with her big bandaged leg, giving it the stink-eye now and then. She just got on with life (she was 10) and never let it slow her down once she healed up. We eventually forgot she'd even had the amputation. It was a real lesson for us in pulling your socks up, courtesy of a 17 pound Sheltie. (Miss her so much.)

Continued prayers and good thoughts coming for Checkers. :hugs

Glad to hear that it is not too serious and manageable. If there was one thing I could inherit from my dog, is the ability to just live in present. No worries about the past or the future. Everyday would be like Christmas day. What a life! Best wishes to Checkers and your family.

Very glad the vet was able to get clean margins. That is huge. I assume even though it was grade 2, it did not spread and lymph nodes are normal? If so, that is all good news. Just keep spoiling her like I know you already do.
