Moving, new sheltie adventures

Good luck with your move, I will pray for safe travels for you and the furbabies. As take4roll10 said, shelties will adapt to just about anything so long as they are with their humans. Loved the pictures, looked like the pups were having a great time.
 
I've always enjoyed your pics of where you guys live now- the beach shots and all. Prayers for a safe and uneventful move. I always find that the kittehs are more upset by moves than the dogs are...

There will be beaches there, too... and I am hoping to find some spots with little to no people, it's a little less densley populated, I think... So I am hoping to find some spots off the beaten path to hike with the boys, I was there to find a place mid December by myself, and went for drives in the surrounding areas, I like exploring... SO I think the boys and I will enjoy some fun walks!

The cats will indeed be the biggest challenge, they will be so mad... in the car lol
Also I am going to try to make my schizo kitty a soley indoor cat, so that should be quite the battle...

I feel your pain.. I have moved with one of my cats several times (during college). Luckily she was pretty good about it as long as I was there. She HATES everyone else. Now that I have a second cat who doesn't like riding in the car, it's going to be a lot harder if/when I ever move.

Oh man, it took Bimmer about a month to get acclimated. Let's just say we should have bought stock in carpet cleaners...

It might not be as bad as you think it will. It will be a new place, so the new cat might not want to go out. I brought a feral male into the house when I was in college. He was indoor/outdoor. Once I moved away from his turf, he wanted NO part of outside. It was okay to look at, but from the safety of inside only. But that said, I have to say, he was TERRIBLE at being a feral. He had a cut open head, three broken ribs, broken nose and his tail was broken in at least two places. So that might be why being inside with food and water and loving seemed good to him.
 
I hope you're not moving over the next couple of days - sounds like you are really getting it with blizzards, etc. Stay safe.

Blizzard is really hitting us hard right now
Metro Transit is off the roads and Police is only responding to major emergencies as well, I haven't seen a plow...
 
Loved the pictures. Moving is a lot of work, but wishing you the best and hopefully you won't have to make a second move once training is done. As long as they have you with them, your little ones will be fine...their world is their person/people...nothing else much matters...with maybe the exception of yummie FOOD! :)
