No respect in the dog ring [Youtube Video]

How stupid do you have to be to think you have the right to kick a dog for poor handling. How did he win?! Was this his dog?!

In retrospect, not that stupid since it seems from the body language of the video that he DID win. I know that one of the posters earlier explained that this was because the dog was being judged and not the handler. Perhaps that is true, but it makes little sense to me.

I'm not just upset about the fact that he kicked the dog, I'm more upset about the fact it appeared as if he intentionally allowed his dog to run right up behind the other dog in a blatant attempt to distract both the dog and the female handler. Is this allowed at dog shows?

This saddens as much as angers me. It was disgraceful behaviour. Rude manners, if nothing else. Unfortunately showing seems to attract this behaviour which is why I have chosen to avoid it. I dabbled a bit, but I didn't like the atmosphere.
