One sick dog.....Bacca, my boy!

Home 'chefing' for Bacca will be fun, you'll see and that skin funk will be done with him once and for all I bet.

I have seasonal allergic excema and get all rashy and itchy. As I thought of this I wanted to pass it on to you. Could Bacca also have seasonal allergic excema?

Good luck Chef Barb and tell Bacca that he is one lucky diner.

Well, I'm hoping that I can just plop everything into a pot in huge quantities, boil away and freeze in portions. I think I can handle that. I'm just so not a cook! Probably because it creates dishes....and I hate doing dishes! :o
 
Came by to see news on Bacca. I cook for mine off and on and when I do I lightly steam the veggies and chop them in a food processor then add the cooked meat. I spoon them into ice cube trays and freeze. Put them in a freezer bag and take out what I need daily. You may enjoy cooking for them more than for your self. If I were closer I would be glad to cook it for you.

I was thinking the same thing !! I would cook for Bacca AND you if we were a bit closer. I love to cook and my pets are so appreciative of my efforts. I usually cook for DH and myself and take the critter's food out before adding seasonings and stuff they can't eat.
 
Maybe its a business opportunity for Mellie and Sumac.....home cooked frozen meals for dogs with kidney, liver, hypo issues! I expect its a bigger market than you think.

I was looking at the recipe's tonight. It's not that I cant do it, I just don't like it.

But perhaps, as you say, I can get passionate about feeding the dogs even if I'm not passionate about feeding myself. (I really don't get excited about food. I eat to live, not live to eat). And just maybe I might want to share their food! :eek2::lol:

When I used to cook for Seamus and his liver issues, I would boil the sweets, peel off the skins (so easy when you boil them and slide the skins right off) do the chicken and gr. beans. Sometimes rice. It was so yummy that sometimes we humans would add our spices and stuff and sit down and eat it also.

Bag it up in portions, and freeze and away you go. You can do it once or twice a month, easy as that.

Easy breezy freezy,:pop mush it up and have fun with it all.

I can't convince you guys to cook it, freeze it and ship it to me? Well, crap....into the kitchen I go.....

My only other option is Medical......:gaah

So stay tuned for my cooking adventures! And yes, maybe Bacca and I will share food!

On that note....Indy is healthy.....should I keep him to a normal protein diet or switch him too?????? I'd rather not have two diets for two dogs.
