Prayers for a friend

WOW!! After many years, because of Maggie's passing nearly two weeks ago and though the help of a long time AOL buddy, I was able to reconnect with a few from the old AOL board. Thanks to Susan, she lead me to the Sheltie Forum to find more wonderful people who've expressed their love and concern. Tomorrow we are leaving for a short camping trip, a place Maggie always enjoyed going. When we return I'll get an intro in the appropriate section, will also plan to post in this section a little about Maggie and unconditional love she gave us for 12 years. The last two weeks have been tough ones, but with the help of our other Sheltie, Cozmo, and a lot of Sheltie friends, we've made it this far. Thanks again!!

Rolland, enjoy your trip. Maggie is watching down on you and smiling.

Looking forward to your introduction upon your return.

Rolland - this will be a tough trip for you. Enjoy walking where Maggie walked. Take the time you need to grieve. It is difficult to lose one our fur kids and we need to take the time to grieve for them.

Looking forward to hearing more from you when you get back.

Sooo very sad to hear about Maggie, what a shock.
Our prayers are with her family.

and Bonnie at the Bridge.

RIP Dear Maggie

I have been going to the sheltie board on AOL for years off and on. There is a man who used to be on the board that I got to be friends with and have not heard from him him in a long time. He and I both owned Maggies. Well I got an email from a dear friend that told me that Rolland had lost his dear Maggie very suddenly. Was sitting on the couch with her all was fine, he got up to get a snack and came back and she was gone. Maggie was 12 and leaves behind a mom and dad with broken hearts. They could use a few prayers today. So very sad.

Susan I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Rolland's Maggie. My sincerest heartfelt sympathies for this passing. I know the family is having difficult times right now. My prayers go out to them . Know that your Maggie is at the Rainbow Bridge romping freely with our furkids who have passed. Rolland give yourself time to grieve it's losing a family member and that is difficult. God Bless and comfort you and your loved ones and extra hugs to your other Sheltie because they grieve as well.

We had a wonderful weekend camping. Check out www.belknaphotsprings.com and you will see why. Even though we had more rain that we would have liked, we were able to enjoy the many trials around their gardens and it the forest. We'd come to a spot that would bring back great memories of being there with Maggie, especially the Secret Garden. So, as time goes on, time heals, the tears of sadness have a way of turning to tears of joy as we are reminded of so many ways Maggie brought to us her special bits of joy.

Rolland that place is just lovely. I am sure you had a great time and shared many memories of Maggie. If I was closer that would be a wonderful destinatoin and great that they allow dogs. Did Cosmo have a good time. I am so glad you found this post and know that so many people understand what you are going through.
