Prayers for Beau please…

I certainly hope that is the case, Sharon! That was the whole goal!
I am a bit concerned about them wanting to do the biopsy of the liver. Don’t really understand why but they highly recommended doing it. Just that alone was $500! Anyway, my vet confirmed it was better to do it now. I think it takes 2 weeks to get results back…

when Gavin had his neck wart/tumor removed, they wanted to get it biopsied and it was like $500....which was more than the actual removal was. At his age, I said absolutely not cause what are we going to do if it comes back as cancer? But it's definitely a limited opportunity things with the liver. and hopefully will give more peace of mind

The tradazone is one that can be an issue for MDR1 dogs. The gave Tully Gabapentin after her surgery as the only drug - she doesn't handle it (she's not MDR1) and it really doesn't give pain relief on it's own. I'm surprised they are using Amatadine and Gaba at the same time as they are both working on nerve receptors - no wonder he was doped off his brain. And no narcotic, that's what they did to Tully - Gaba is meant to work in conjunction with other drugs and is not very good on it's own. It may help in humans for nerve based pain but that's not gallbladder surgery. Cerenia is just for nausea.

Still, he seems to be pulling through really well. His eyes look a little sad though.
