Logan ate another 10 lean treats this evening. He also spent most of the day in the family room with Baron and Beau. That is a positive sign. I am not getting my hopes up just yet. Between his subQ fluids and pain shot along with the new meds... just fact that he is eating something helps. Will talk to the vet again tomorrow for his recommendation. Beau is always trying to comfort Logan.

Logan ate twice today!
When I came home from the dentist he greeted me at the door with his tail up barking at me!!! That has not happened for weeks!
He still will only eat the lean treats and deli chicken for now...
He is staying in the same room with us and I feel that is a plus too. My spirits are getting high again. Waiting for the vet to call to give him an update.
Two days ago I feared euthanasia. Today I have hope once more. Please, please, please, let this be the final forward momentum for Logan’s recovery!

Wonderful news Gloria...Logan MUST be feeling better if he's greeting you at the door! You can definitely tell by body language...barking and tail up is a very good sign. Fingers crossed that it continues

Lisa, I swear I did a double take as I could only see Beau and Baron as I approached the door! I knew the bark was Logan’s and I looked to the left and saw him standing there barking with his tail up completely over his back!
You are so right, body language really tells a lot.
I just spoke to the vet and he is pleased with Logan’s progress but wants me to come in tomorrow for another round of subQ fluids. He also wants him to have subQ fluids on Saturday too.
He agrees with me that as long as he is eating something that is a good sign. He also agrees that only the top 3 of his 6 meds should be given now. He was on so much medication thatwith so little in his tummy I felt it would do more harm than good.
He is on vacation from now until Monday and we will touch base then. I explained that I could never watch Logan starve to death and he totally understood. So, as long as he will eat we are on a positive path.

Oh my goodness - I logged in thinking I was going to hear the worst - and instead I see this!!!!!!!!! I'm laughing and crying and dancing around the living room. Spirit and Skylar think I have lost my mind!!!!!!! I am THRILLED to see this!!!!!!!!! It sure does sound like he is feeling better!

Cara, I am right there with you!!! Spirit and Skylar must think you are a bit nuts!! Never ever from a few days ago would I believe he would turn around at all! I was preparing myself for the worst. Yes, we are both over the moon happy!

OMG I was ELATED to see your post, Gloria! Yesssss! I'm sure your heart lept with joy. All fingers and toes crossed that he will stabilize for you and regain some appetite! You know, I was going to suggest you try some canned pumpkin.... mine are all mad for that and it's easy to digest.
