Prayers for Logan please...

They want Logan to have 300 ml at a time. Maybe they will back off the amount once his numbers are better? I guess I can ask the vet on Monday.

Last night Logan ate about 1/2 can of his kidney dog food. This time, I let Baron and Beau stay in the kitchen as I fed Logan a spoonful at a time. For every 4 spoonfuls I gave him I gave Baron and Beau 1/4 spoonful.

It worked so now I feed them together. He would not eat the dog food this morning but did eat some low sodium turkey. Did the same... having them together so Logan ate more!

Glad you found a way to encourage Logan to eat!

Fluids at home Will be so less stressful, it will become routine

Sometimes having the company and example of the other dogs eating is indeed helpful. Go glad he's at least still eating if sporadically. I agree with Cindy, the fluids will be easier at home. 300 at a time is a fair amount but maybe once he's over the crisis it can be dialed back. Keeping you in my thoughts daily!

So glad to hear that things are stable, and even on an upswing! Not only do Baron and Beau encourage him to eat, but since he's a Sheltie I wouldn't be surprised if he eats so that they can't have any!! :sneaky: The old "what's mine is mine" . . .

Logan looked brighter than he has since he got sick! Let everyone out to do their business.

When Logan came in he took ALL HIS MEDICATION with his pill pockets! I started fix the food bowls for everyone and remembered that Logan ate his kibble diet last night so I thought... just give him dry kibble and see how he responds to that. Gave him a 1/3 cup and he ate it ALL! He even looked up at me for more!!!! Gave him another small cup and he ate that too!!! He looked up again... gave him a bit more and he ate almost all of it!!! In total, he probably got 1/2 cup of food this morning. Then he was looking at the treat container so I gave him 4 soft lean treats! He ate them all up!!! I praised him so lavishly...

Ok, so, he peed on the floor after breakfast... it is 60 this morning so I closed the door. Otherwise, I am sure he would have gone out himself.

Gold star morning! Hopefully, he will have a good vet report! Stay tuned!!!

Wonderful news Gloria, so glad he's feeling better this morning! Good idea feeding them together..Shelties are such food hounds it could definitely encourage him to eat.
