That is excellent and joyful news! And just over an hour is pretty quick so it must have been straightforward. SO HAPPY he's done. Sit down in your recliner with an adult beverage if you do that kind of thing Ron. He will be closely monitored overnight and like Ann said you'll be surprised just how fast he recovers. :hugs
 
I will say that being here in SN with all of you definitely helped save Teddy. Before joining here I did not realize Gallbladder issues were a thing to be dealt with. So thank you for sharing your knowledge and support . You have no idea what it has meant to me! :) You all are awesome.
 
Awwww that was wonderful of your wife to go check up on Teddy! He looks like he’s being a very good patient! Tomorrow can’t come soon enough I’m sure!
We are all thankful for each other here Ron…everyone brings such a wealth of knowledge through their own experiences. That’s what makes this such a great place!
 
We are an amazing community I must say and have all learned much from each other. My vet perks up her ears when I say "According to my Sheltie group..." her comment is "Well, they haven't been wrong yet!"
Brooke and Faith's breeder has one Sheltie who is a half brother much younger than Meadow, but she asked me recently what age Meadow was when diagnosed with her gallbladder problem, so that she can keep a watchful eye on him and get him scanned eventually. He's not quite 2.

Glad to see the photo of a stoned Teddy. I'm thrilled it all went well and he is now out of any danger of a gallbladder rupture.
 
Awww, sweet Teddy! It's wonderful to see him and how nice of your wife to check on him. I'm sure you won't relax till he's home and then you won't relax because he's home! We're all here for any questions or concerns along the way.

This group is definitely one of a kind, sharing the good and the bad, full of people who care about each other and our dogs. In the murky quagmire that is social media it's absolutely a shining light, and it's our membership that makes it.
 
Just got another call from Dr. Brandon, Teddy devoured the dinner he was given and had some water. He has been walking with the Vet Tech. He said his progress is exciding expectations. And that he is a fighter. I am very proud of him and the progress I am told he is making.
I didn't go myself this evening because I thought it might hurt his feelings if he saw me and I left him there again for the second time in one day
The house is so quiet with him not here.
