Wow, that is a long time. I hope Aspen wasn't on her own for all those months, and maybe someone at least took her in before she'd run again. Glad she's back home.

What a fantastic story. Way to hang in there Aspen. I especially love that she is sooo happy to be home... after all that time, she remembers where she came from. What a smart, lucky and blessed girl!!

I can't wait to hear more of this story....there has to be more! I can't imagine a dog (even a smart Sheltie) surviving that long and only being down 5 or 6 pounds? Somebody must have been looking after her.
