Dear Heidi and Angie's Mom,
As you know, we all have been praying for Heidi's safe return. I believe that the Great Sheltie, as my Beloved Husband calls God, answers all our prayers -- but not always in the way we wish. Perhaps Angie is the answer. My heart goes out to such an incredible couple who, in the face of sadness and setbacks, still found room in their hearts and hope in their souls to welcome a little girl who also faced tragedy.

Hello everyone at Sheltie Nation. It has been a while since I have given you an update on the search for Heidi. Much to my dismay, I am still searching for her. My husband received a call from a women 1/15/09 who saw my dog eating a dead deer, but by the time we got there, Heidi got spooked and ran again. The women was nice enought to stay with her, but she was heartbroken when Heidi ran. I showed her more pictures of Heidi, and she believes 90% that the dog she saw Was Heidi. Now we have intensified the search in that area. We are monitoring for more activity with the dead deer, we placed 10 feeding stations, more posters, and handing out (face to face) fliers to local residents. My hope has been uplifted. I do believe with continued patience, and persistence, and vigilance I will bring Heidi Home. Now to tell you about Angie, and how she is becoming comfortable with us and her new home. She is beginning to settle down, eating/ drinking better. When we are gone, even for a short time, she is now running to us, kissing us, and barking at us. She is an ANGEL. She is really helping us, in dealing with Heidi's loss. I now come home to someone who loves me, not a empty, quite house. I can really say that " she is a gift from God" To all, thank you, and please keep praying. It is helping is small steps.
