Sick little girl

The doctor mentioned that when talking to me tonight. Is it something you would suggest?

I would definitely consider it. With Liam, it showed the furball in the stomach, the cecal impaction and the small bowel twisting on the colon. A barium swallow was taken over seven hours and showed that the barium had not moved through the colon at all. If I had to do it again, I would certainly ask for it, as it can certainly show a blockage.

Got the call from the tech. She vomited overnight so there is most likely a blockage. I will hear from the doctor this morning.

At least now it is a more or less confirmed that there is blockage and they can do more tests and clear out that blockage.

Hang in there, Scout is in good hands. Sending positive thoughts.

Hoping today brings you and Scout better news, Penny, and that she's cured soon. At least you're on the way to finding out what the problem is. Hugs to you.

Hugs and prayers as you walk through today with the vet and Blaze. She is in good hands. We caught Liam's blockage in time. Sounds as if your vet is on top of things with Blaze.

Keep us updated. I am back to work today after holidays but will keep checking in. They may still want to do the barium swallow to determine where the blockage is and how to best treat it.

Vet called and her temp has gone to 105 so surgery has to be done. However she said in the event it is the gallbladder that they aren't equipped to handle that so she would have to be closed up and then referred to a specialist. I made the decision to go ahead and take her directly to the emergency vet that has an internal surgery specialist. Please keep us in your thoughts.

This is an excellent idea!

I am keeping both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Please continue to update us when you can.

Sending good thoughts that they are able to find and fix the obstruction easily.

I think that was a good idea. Sending you and your pup positive thoughts for a easy & successful surgery. Keep us updated!

Thank you all so much for the prayers and encouragement ... it helps. We need them now for sure. Scout will be in surgery shortly.
