Smudge and his vet visits.

I think he is looking 100% better than he was.I really have seen a differance in the pictures she has taken, since he has been givin the new supplement.

Keep it up Jess,as he will be back to his old self, with new hair growth, and all of this nightmare will go away.
Sending hugs.

That's great news.. I'm glad to hear it. I'd love to see the pictures showing the improvement. I must have missed those posts..Where do I find them?

Jessica, I'm sorry if I scared you. It was a very difficult thing for me to go through when my Mother died fairly young, and then I couldn't even save her dog. I'm definitely not saying that Smudge has to be put to sleep.

I just wanted to emphazise how important it is to nip it in the bud, when your dog shows any aggression towards you. It is also hard for me to be Alpha with my boy, Buddy. He is so eager to please and loving, that I hate it when I have to be firm when correcting him. The only way I can do it, is by remembering that dogs are happier when the owner is Alpha. When you are Alpha, your dog is supposed to be less stressed than when he thinks he has to be the boss, and I know you want to keep his stress down.

I, too, think that this may be the only time he has mange. Both of you have had a lot of problems here in the begining, but things will settle down. You are a good furbaby Mom, and I will be praying for both of you.

Here is a picture of his eye before the Vibrant Pets:

You can see how small the sick is compared to the healthy eye. You can also see that the fur on his leg where they shaved it to put the IV in is still had not grown back.

Here is Smudge's eye now. He's been using the Vibrant Pets for maybe about a week/week and a half. The fur on his leg has almost compltely grown back. As of tonight when I woke up a lot of the fur on his eye lid has grown back, but it doesn't show it every good in this picture.

Sometime later today after I finish my homework :dead: we're going to either go to my Grandmother's house for a little bit (she's sick anyway and needs cheering up) or just down the road for a little ways to see how it goes.

Oh, he looks better - even happier! And I love his coat coming in like that. Hope that he is happy to see Grandma!

Great to see that his hair is growing back. Take him for some little car rides. Even if you're not going to anywhere. A nice drive around the neighborhood will be good.

Oh, he does look better. Wow...after just one week on the supplement?! It looks like his eye had been swollen and that's why it appeared so much smaller than the other. I'm glad it was localized, and not on the other side of his face too.. Like I said, I think this will be a one and done type of thing for him ;-)..

It would not surprise me if some of his littermates were going throught he same thing.

He's looking better, and happier Jessica! Thanks for posting the pics..

Glad to see Smudge is looking a lot better. I hope too that this is a one time deal and that you two never have to go through this again. Goodness knows you've been through enough.

I'm so glad the Vibrant Pets is helping, Jess! I've had great luck with it too...a big thanks to Chris for turning us on to it. You may very well find that mange is a one-time thing. My Scruffy only had it once in her life, and it also took months to cure but then she was fine. Hoping that's the case for little Smudge. You are doing a great job caring for him!

OMG that is a big difference. Once that all clears up, and it will, you will never have that problem again. I just betcha!

Chris has another award winning star next to her name, wonderful how that is working with vibrant. Fantasitic! Thank you Chris for the info.
