The Little Red Caboose Has Pulled Into The Station!

Believe me - you all will get tired of seeing little Baker! I'll take tons, but will try to refrain from sharing them all. :)

Share ALL the pix . . . even the ones where the dog looks adorable and the human looks, um, less than well-presented!

What a cute little guy. Best of luck with little Cubby. There are so many pups to watch grow up right now! It's making me really want a pup sooner than later.

Thanks for all the "cute" comments. He's not a flashy merle or bi-blue, he's not an intensely striking bi black or black tri, he's just a little really dark sable with tons of personality and that's just perfect.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a stunning little brown Sheltie. My comment to the local Sheltie owners I know frequently is "someone has to have the token brown Sheltie".

Welcome to Sheltie puppy Nation!

Cubby is very sweet and his colours so unique. Can't wait to see how he turns out! They can be a surprise. I never expected Bacca to go red, but there he was! Callan is still a guess being a sable Merle.

And yes, a big boy. Look at those paws! More to love!

As for ears, Callan's stayed down mostly until about a month ago, then one started to fly, then the other and then one went back down again. So I decided to glue. Did it wrong and glued too low, took glue out after one week and now both ears are hound! :gaah

I hate the ear thing. I give up!

We've started posting our 2014 daily puppy stories in one thread after the initial intros. I encourage you to participate there. We have have a Sheltie Boom this year and it seemed a good idea to keep all the cuteness to one thread. We are already overwhelmed by cuteness!

Of course photos belong in Fuzzy Photo thread, and specific concerns or questions belong in the appropriate category.

Enjoy Cubby!

8 weeks -- 10" -- 6.8 pounds (went from free feed to regimented meals and Diamond to TOTW puppy/Acana Ranchlands so there's some adjustment) -- one accident (poo during morning zoomies) -- crate trained -- taking out 1x a night -- played chase with Shay for the first time yesterday -- learning to walk on leash -- learning stairs -- no ear flying yet.

Happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

LOL Love those big ears...and that adorable expression. That is one pup that it will be VERY hard not to spoil rotten!! Just too cute!

Thanks everyone. He is a real character. I look forward to exploring his aptitudes as he grows. And boy is he growing! You think he will grow into those ears? They really add personality. They really are huge and at this point still 1/3 up and 2/3 flopped over. He has that look, it's the kind of shy/sly look Princess Diana used to have for the camera. I hope he keeps that as he ages. It will make for tons of expressive pictures.
