Urgent! FOUND COLLIE. Need advice & info ASAP

Aw glad you found a no kill rescue for him. He sounds like a sweet heart. I sure hope he finds a loving home.

:yes::yes:, so glad he is going to a better place! When he crosses the Rainbow Bridge some day, he'll be waiting for you for when you get there so he can say "thank you for caring for me in my greatest hours of need, I love you".

:smile2:

I feel so bad for him right now. He so desperately wants to interact with Maia and Chinook and they with him. When he saw them, he started to whine and whimper and wag his tail. My two wanted to say hi too, but I should not let them right?? I am just so afraid of them getting fleas or mites or something. I feel so guilty right now. It breaks my heart. If I could afford to keep him I would, but I just don't have the means right now, plus I have two already. I feel so bad.

I thought of that last night actually - of Rainbow Bridge. I think my angel Dorian intervened last night. He was a tri also, but a sheltie, and his fur was sun burned too (he loved being outside no matter what) You see, if I was 30 seconds later last night passing that street, I would have missed him and not found him. Someone was looking out for him last night. I pray that he will find a good home.

I work Collie Rescue Inc. Yes, that's flaked skin from lack of brushing. I suspect he's 10 or 12. He's absolutely gorgeous!! And yes, much as your babies want to see him, and he them, don't do it. We only allow foster Collies with ours after a full vet check -- and even then, ours got sick after one foster.

On behalf of Collie lovers and collies everywhere, thank you, Ania, for saving this wonderful boy.

Fantastic and I am sure they will find him a good home. It sounds like a pretty great dog actually with a bit of TLC. My brother rescued a dog that some $%@$#^%^@ has tied to a stop sign with a bowl of water in next to him in 95 degree Alabama heat :mad: Omo was real skiddish at first since the moron obviously beat him also. However after a short time he got to looking real good and figured out that 'these' people were not mean. After a while he turned into a pretty fantastic dog. Always a bit timid and sneaky but he eventually would even play with the madman Dow. I bet this guy gets a foot dog gig and excels at it

Thank you so much Ania !!

Don't feel bad! You most likely saved this poor guy's life. You did a wonderful thing! You took him into your home, gave him food and attention. You should feel proud. Because of you, this dog will get a second chance at life. Hopefully his elder years will be the best time of his life.

LOL! Lady Collie is a Sir. :biggrin2:

I'm so glad to hear the rescue folks will be picking him up later today, and I hope the he will be well-fed, warm and clean in his forever home, very soon.
