I am also praying that little Vegas eats better, and starts getting healthier, both emotionally and physically. I'm sure it will just take time--hopefully not much more.

I assume that he has passed a complete physical? I was talking to a sheltie breeder here and they asked if his liver was OK. THey said it could be a liver-shunt problem. Just a thought.
I do hope that he starts to eat soon and put on some weight. He is just so cute adn I love watching the videos you post of him and the rest of your dogs. Sending warm wishes and prayers.

That's a good question. I'm going to call the vet clinic that saw him in July tomorrow. We haven't set up the next vet appointment...I have a week of other commitments and I hope to get this settled by next week.

Newton's vet visit is tomorrow afternoon. I probably won't be able to be there; Alan will take him.

The great news is that this morning when I let Newton out of his crate BOTH FOOD BOWLS WERE EMPTY!! That was at least 1/2 cup of food. Around lunch time Alan called me to say that he was able to coax Newton into eating a little kibble by alternating feeding Sasha and Newton on our bed. This evening, Newton was again hungry and comfortable enough to eat food with Alan present and took food from our hands. Its an awesome breakthrough!

Here's a video of the evening munchies; with Sasha, Angus, and Newton getting kibble from Alan.

That is great news! I cannot believe that it has been 11 days already! Boy does time fly.

Watching you guys reminded me of a mama bird (in this case a papa bird) feeding its babies - there you were, sticking your beak (hand) out for your share.

That is wonderful !! He looks so relaxed and content. Gosh it does'nt seem like 11 days,he has come leaps and bounds from the first day.

This is wonderful! I've been holding my breath here. He looks like he's getting real comfortable. It's amazing what love and a lot of patience can do and in such a short time too although I'm sure for you it feels like forever. Thanks Alan! You're awesome. Good luck at the vet visit.

So glad for your breakthrough with him, he's such a cute little guy. My heart melted when I saw the soft expression on his face when you scratched under his chin. He looks like such a gentle little soul.
