Oh Janet, that video brought tears to my eyes! Seeing him so happy. You can just see and feel it. He is doing so much better and trying and making an effort to play and run with the others. (I saw that he was barking more too - no sound at work, so will have to listen later at home)

It was so wonderful to see Newton running around happily. Even my husband was willing to look at the "poor sheltie you have been talking about for days". We all thank you for saving him. It brought tears to my eyes, too.
You and your husband are wonderful people.

Newton looks so happy! He's come so far in such a short time.

Is he eating better? If you posted an update on that I missed it.

Oh, little Newton looks so happy running around with his new buddies!

Did he start eating anything yet? I sure hope so.

Newton still has significant issues about food. He will take a little bit of cheese as a treat during the day but nothing else. At night, when he is in his crate and all of the house has settled...he will eat his food. Right now I give him one bowl that is a mix of chicken breast, broth, and Nutro puppy and a second bowl that is Moist n meaty and nutro puppy. Some nights he eats a fair amount, other nights only a 1/4 cup or so.

That poor little Newton. It's going to take a very long time for him to really recover, but it was great to see him perimeter running the other dogs. He's got to be feeling SO much better, both physically and emotionally.

Maybe during the day (or evening), you could send all the dogs except him outside to play and put him in his crate with food and walk away from a few minutes.

:uhoh:

Either I missed this thread or old timers is setting in. What a lovely thing you did for this little guy and Newton is a great name. He is very tiny but sure has a bushy tail.

I can't believe how little he weighs. Panda is just 6 months old and weighs a little over 20 lbs. He looks like he is having a great time outside with the rest even though a little tentative but to be expected. Again what a great thing you both did for this boy.

I am finally able to post again after about a week of having logging in problems... just wanted to say to Granite that I am so happy that you took in Newton and gave him a new lease on life. I am so enjoying the puppy videos...what will we do without them after these 3 go to their new homes!!!
