Veni Vedi Vici . . .

What a lucky Baby to have found you. I am sure that sad look will disappear quickly as she he absorbs your love and kindness.

We affectionately call one of ours (ShanJen) Eeyore cuz she always has that sad look. But she loves to play with us and is a real treasure to have in our home.

Madi is changing everyday. She is becoming more confident in herself and trustworthy in us. We have been going on 3 small walks a day to get her activity level up and hopefully a few pounds shed.

She still isn't eating much but that is typical for most dogs when they are in a new environment. We are having to slice doggy bacon thinly and mix it in her kibble. She won't touch veggies as I had planned, but should come around with time. It seems like her previous home fed her table scraps and out of the fridge because she can waddle pretty fast once the fridge opens or she hears some type of wrapper.

We are working on commands; sit is coming fast will a light tap on the butt. I'm thinking it might hurt her to stand back up so it's either UP or DOWN.

Doggy Vouge would be fun  Does such a thing exist?

What wonderful people you are, Madi, is the luckiest girl falling into your laps.
I am sure she will turn out to the best girl -
Looking forward to hearing the next installments of her life and her pics.
Sylvia & our 4 shelties.

Must have missed the pics. of her 1st coming home, and after the spa. My what a beautiful face,
I am sure she will shed the weight with your caring of her.

What a pretty girl she is!

Her eyes are so sad, I'm sure she'll be looking happy and confident soon, when she realizes that you're her forever home and that you're not going to eat her :smile2:

Aw Madi is adorable. She's so lucky to have someone to take such good care of her! I know what it's like to have an overweight Sheltie - we tried in vain to get our late Lassie to shed some pounds but had no such luck. It's nice to her how Madi is progressing too :smile2:

That is the cutest face EVER! How adorable! I will eagerly stay turned to hear more about her and see more photos!

Somebody help...I want to hear her bark already. Tried knocking, vaccuming, sweeping, holding a treat to far for her to reach...Anybody have a hint. It is just not normal; not that it's a bad thing but come on she has to have one somewhere.

Trying to make her bark may not help. Just let her settle in and get used to everyone, the barking will most likely come once she realizes she's home.

Of course, its possible she's one of those rare shelties that doesn't bark :smile2:

I don't want to be selfish, so it would be my pleasure to send a recording of Spencer during one of his many barking sprees so that Madi can learn to bark.:biggrin2: Of course, you'll end up hating me since she'll learn all about non-stop barking.:rolleyes2: What do you think?
